Keeping Up is Hard to Do

The founder of a ministry stressing biblical values for teens states that most parents are overwhelmed by the digital world their teenagers live in.

There is a strong case to be made for arguing that parenting is harder in our day than ever before. Thanks to technology, the "generation gap" widens ever further. It used to be music, fashion and entertainment choices that made such a gap exist. Today, as this article suggests, parents don't even know what their kids are up to - because they don't know how to be "up to it" themselves. Keeping up is hard to do.

But it must be done! Parents, get out of your world and into your kids - or the gap will continue to widen, and you will have failed at your task of passing on your faith to your kids. That one will last an eternity!
