Americans seem to have lost the ability to think. They can't compare things properly, thinking that apples and oranges are the same thing - just because both are called a "fruit." The real fruit is in the heads of those in charge on Capital Hill.
Now, the link below tells the story - as my very own State Senator, Clarie McCaskill (D) tries to compare apples and oranges.
CNSNews.com - Sen. McCaskill Doesn’t Say Where Congress Gets Power To Mandate Health Insurance, But Cites Auto Insurance At State Level
Doesn't everyone see that Auto Insurance is ONLY required for those who wish to drive? If you do not qualify for a license, you don't need auto insurance. Driving is a privilege. Living is a right (the right to Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness...). The government can regulate privileges, but they have no business getting into our rights. It is not only unconstitutional (and illegal), but it is unethical.
But ethics do not hold today's democrats back. They spend our future generations into oblivion. They could care less what the people want, as long as they get their way. McCaskill is no different. She claims to be fiscally conservative - but votes for the biggest tax and spend bill in American history. She spends our future generations into oblivion. She gets what she wants even if the people call for something else. I wrote her personally on an issue a couple of years ago. She did not acknowledge my efforts; her staffers sent me a form letter informing me that she voted contrary to what I asked her to do, thanking me for taking the time to contact her. I bet neither she, nor her staffers even bothered to read what I sent in. They didn't care.
As I See It, to compare apples and oranges is "fruitless" - unless you sit on Capital Hill, where doing so means you can get some fruit: your own way.
