All the polls are saying today, the day before the election, that the Presidential race is a dead heat. It’s even, Steven. If anything, the incumbent has a ½ point to a point lead in swing states. Statistically speaking, that’s a tie. While, I’m quite ready to dismiss it all because tomorrow is the election, not today; I am still appalled at what this means for our nation.
You see, the Democratic Party only recognizes God in their platform statement because the DNC Chairman over-ruled a vote at their Convention meeting. The clear vote was to dismiss God. So that means nearly ½ of the nation’s voters dismiss recognition of God in their public policy. This is a disaster for our nation. We once were “one nation under God” and at one time it was true “In God We Trust”; it is no longer so for about ½ of our country. If they win the election, it will be the policy of our country.
Next, the split means that the sanctity of life is not as important as the economic status of the average citizen. There is a clear divide between candidates on this issue. The incumbent stands in favor of unrestrained abortion at any stage of pregnancy – and believes that taxpayers should foot the bill for it by funding Planned Parenthood. The challenger opposes that, and the media and incumbent mock him for it. What a statement about the sense of right and wrong in our nation! God has said that life begins at the moment of conception, and He forms us in the womb. Who are we to stand in God’s way? We are, according to the National Split, not accountable, because God should not be consulted in our policies as a nation, or as individuals often enough.
Thirdly, this split in our nation means that the morality of marriage and sexual relationships is at stake. Too many in our nation are being convinced that homosexuality is somehow an equal rights issue, not a behavioral issue. We are ignoring history, as well as God. But then, ignoring God seems to be quite acceptable to ½ of our country. God says the act of homosexuality is an abomination. He also says that all sin can be repented of and through Jesus Christ, we can find deliverance. But there is a formal move by the CDC, Federal Government, and American Psychological Association to decry ANY organization that would help people find deliverance from homosexuality – calling it “hate speech.” The fact that ½ the nation supports a candidate that fights traditional marriage amendments and encourages the rampant and unrestrained practice of homosexual “marriage,” while redefining marriage itself is an atrocity. But it is the condition of our nation.
Our nation will decide on many things with a single election. States across the nation are challenging these issues with state constitutional amendments. Lawsuits against the federal government’s usurping the authority and freedoms of the citizens with the “national healthcare law” (Obamacare) are being filed all the time. The battle may be lost with this election. If 51% of the nation votes for the incumbent, four more years of these policies, coupled with justice appointments that support these illicit, immoral, and blasphemous policies will make it impossible to turn around as a nation. We’ll be in too deep to get out.
So the big question is this: will the Christians be a voice for God against the ungodly? Or will they side with the ungodly in favor of economic policies that are at best questionably effective? If the ungodly will not stand for what God stands for (life, marriage, family, and morality), our nation will head the direction of Nazi Germany – moving more socialistic, less freedom for Christians, and greater immorality than ever before. However, America will find its hatred less toward the Jews (like Hitler) and more toward the Christians. When Christians didn’t stand against Hitler, he won. If Christians don’t stand against Obama and the Democratic Party, the incumbent and his policies will win. He has already usurped the authority of Congress using Executive Orders and recess appointments, instructing his cabinet members to selectively NOT enforce laws he disagrees with. Such unchecked dereliction of duty will eventually allow him to rise to the status of “chancellor” of the United States of America – just like Hitler was over Germany! Our nation needs Christians to be the voice of God and Reason in a time of decision. How will you vote?
