2013 Biblical Christianity in America

There are some scary things happening around us in America (and globally) which, to anyone not completely trusting the Lord as revealed in the Bible, can be enough to scare us out of our wits.  American Christianity will take on a whole new flavor beginning this year.  Genuine spiritual warfare is taking place, and there are fewer and fewer Christians engaging the enemy.  A darkness is covering the land – because the spirit of evil is deceiving “even the elect, if it were possible.”  As a Bible Believer, however, my hope is in the Lord – that He will keep all of His promises, glorify Himself, and NOT that He will save me or any American Believer from what our nation might offer up.  Our hope is in the spiritual realm, not this material world.  Let us, therefore, all look to Him to accomplish His will in this world.

The  November 2012 election has served as a broken dam, making the flood of signs fill our news at a pace that all the major media outlets cannot keep pace; overflowing many with great fear that what they have always known and has always brought them peace and security is nearly washed away.  Values in our nation are changing at an unprecedented pace.  Danger surrounds us.  History (Nazi Germany, Stalinism, Mussolini, Mao Tse Tung, et.al.) seems to be repeating itself.  Corruption is spreading with nearly no restraint.  There are “wars and rumors of wars;” pestilences (diseases) are spreading, natural disasters that are taking growing numbers of lives.  World leaders are embracing evil and shunning good.  Freedoms are eroding in the “effort to protect” people from themselves, all while allowing those in power to grab more power all the time.  A great clash between good and evil is not far away.  If America, under the Obama Administration and the Liberal Agenda, goes the way of the Third Reich, who is there to stop it?  Will the nations rise up against us?  Hardly.  Our enemies will sit back and watch us self-destruct, and then move in to clean up the mess we have made.  Our country will continue to decline during 2013.

The signs have been around for many years.  I remember hearing George Bush, Sr., declare during his presidency that he has ushered in a “New World Order.”  Indeed!  And the framers of that New World Order have been busy using the economics, press, and political structures of the U.N. to enforce this New World Order.  Secularism and Humanism have grown into Secular Humanism.  The New Atheism is a rapidly held belief.  Political alliances are changing all the time.  Even George Bush, Jr., during the 9/11 aftermath, tried to say that Islam was a “peaceful religion” and “not to blame for the terrorism.”  Since then, we have seen the true colors of Islam, their stated purpose (jihad, whether through violent or political means), and their growing influence on our nation trying to eradicate Christianity and spread their lies.  Economic policies that simply don’t make sense are enforced at a rate that staggers the mind (i.e., US Debt/Deficit, increase in the value of Gold, and the idea that the way out of debt is to borrow more).  The Bible has spoken on all of these issues – declaring what is right as well as what will be happening at the time of the rapture and Great Tribulation (as Christians call the 7-year period of Divine wrath released through Satanic rule of the earth).  Persecution against Christianity has grown over the years as well.  Now, our own government, through a Presidential Inauguration Committee announcement, has declared that anyone who “now believes or ever has believed” in the Biblical statement that “homosexuality is a sin which can and must be cured; and that that cure only comes from repentance and trust in Jesus Christ” is not fit to pray at this year’s inauguration ceremony.  Meanwhile, our President will place his hand on two historical Bibles, as proof of his sincere desire to fulfill the office of President of the United States of America.  Biblical Christianity is OUT in America.  Not even the Apostle Paul would be fit to pray at our Inauguration.  Neither would Jesus, Himself!  Our nation’s Democratic Party did not want God in their platform statement, and they don’t want Him in their President’s Inauguration Ceremony.  Clearly, they cannot say with any hope of success, “God Bless America!”  God has given America what she wants – a nation without Him!  Christians will be persecuted more and more in our nation over 2013!

Ok, there are signs aplenty.  What hope has the Christian?  We will face growing ostracism, violence, and opposition – especially as we cling tighter to our Bibles.  But that is JUST what we must do – go deep into our Bibles.  The weak, watered-down, traditional Christianity that has grown into several American “subcultures with a religious flavor” will not do.  Authentic, Bible-believing, God-fearing Christianity, devoted to the Person of Jesus Christ, is the only kind of Christianity that will stand in the end.  When all men meet the Lord, all will bow – but only these will be raised up and rewarded for all of eternity.  The remainder will receive their just desserts from the Lord they rejected and did not trust.  The only salvation offered to mankind will not serve them in that day, for they will have rejected Him in this day.  He has made that clear in the Bible they refuse to believe.  Their surprise will be complete, and their destruction certain.  So, Christian, your hope is in your Lord and His Word.  Choose this day whom you will serve.

Remember this – we all will face the Lord one day.  Some will be old before that day comes, and others young.  The means of our passing is in God’s Hands.  The certainty of what is to come is also in His Hands.  Beware that your faith is genuine, and genuinely put in the right place.  False gospels, false doctrines, and false preachers abound in these last days.  Deception is all around us.  Confusion grows.  But the Word of God will never pass away.  Our hope is not in politics, for politicians cannot make an eternal difference, only a temporary one.  Our hope is not in money, for the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil, having a power of sorts in this world, but not the next.  Our hope is not in position or prestige, which offer temporary comforts and a sense of great importance; but only Jesus is important.  Our hope is not in guns or armies, for the Lord’s army is greater still, and no army on earth can do anything but kill.

So, in 2013, Christianity will become less about outward show, and much more about inward faith that expresses itself as love toward fellow man, trust in the Lord’s ways, and a rejection of the World’s ideas, beliefs, and methods.  The liberals will call it a move “backwards;” while God will call it a move “forward to the place of Divine Blessing.”
