PRO-GAY OFTEN MEANS "ANTI-CHRISTIAN"

This story has been going around the Internet for a few days now – weeks, perhaps.  When you read the story, you’ll find that the Marine Corps Chaplain of 19 years’ service was charged by a young, gay officer serving as his assistant.  The young officer claims many things were said to him by this Chaplain because of the gay lifestyle he lived.  The Chaplain said no such things were ever said, but he was reassigned nevertheless, and may very well be forced out of the military by this obviously young, gay activist officer. Now, before you go saying this story is biased because it’s Fox News, mind you that I’ve hear the same story from several different outlets, just none of them “mainstream media (for those of you who think Fox News biased -  you’ll find that the mainstream media is not reporting it – of course.  If there is really any bias, it’s in the mainstream media, and they are VERY pro-gay.  There are plenty of stats to prove that one if you want to dig.)  But that’s not my point here.  My purpose on this blog is to show the current events in light of the Christian viewpoint.  And that viewpoint is that such charges are being put to Believers everywhere – and a price is to be had when the charge is brought.

We must remember that Chaplains represent an endorsing institution of faith, stand as a person of faith, and are not only NOT required to check their faith at the door (or leave it at home when they put on the uniform), they are EXPECTED to live by, teach, and further the faith they represent.  The comments the Chaplain is accused of making would certainly NOT be those becoming of an officer OR a Chaplain.  With 19 years’ service, one would think those comments would be unthinkable, much less unspoken by an officer of that status and responsibility.  That would have been something coming from someone far younger.

It is also not spiritually mature of a Chaplain to say such unloving, bully-ish things  In a “he-said-she-said” scenario such as this, we should look at who has what to lose before choosing whom to believe.  If the accuser is found to have made false allegations of this nature, criminal charges very well could be brought against him under the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice).  Gay activists are notorious for such tactics to discredit anyone who might disagree with, or simply NOT celebrate their lifestyle.  For that reason, a fair investigation must completely exonerate the accuser of these suspicious ulterior motives before simply choosing a side against the Chaplain.  Otherwise, it stands as “reasonable doubt.”  There are no other witnesses, it seems.

This Chaplain issue, however, brings up more than simply the “anti-gay” issue.  At stake here is the religious freedom of our troops.  When the Chaplains they seek regarding the faith they hold are not allowed to teach or speak anything other than the secular party-line, the troops are not able to experience the “free exercise” of their faith, and neither are the Chaplains, who are commissioned officers in our Military.  It is not JUST Chaplains, then, who find their religious liberties withheld, it is the troops they are commissioned to serve.

For those who call themselves Christians and don’t believe religious liberties are being taken away from American Citizens, it is time for YOU to pull your head out of the sand, look around, and see that YOUR time is coming, too – unless you are willing to play along with the secular perspective.  That may get you “places” with the world, but it brings nothing when you leave this world.

So, Christians, As I See It, we need to get serious about our faith now, or we’ll have none left before long.  As I See It, Pro-gay often means "anti-Christian."
