A Florida youth pastor, who doubles as a youth counselor for a Tampa-area juvenile offender program, has filed suit against the agency for firing him. Liberty Counsel spokesman Mat Staver says Bay Services offered Hughes two choices – termination of employment, or not allowing these juveniles to be at his church. Staver calls the policy against religious participation overly broad and impermissible.

I just don't completely understand how it has gotten to this point - where a Christian cannot invite people to his church simply because of his employment.  Our nation, which according to our constitution, says we are to have freedom of religion, and our government cannot prohibit the free exercise thereof.  It seems to me that this is just what is occurring.  Let this young man be a Muslim, a Jew, or a Hindu - what have you - and you'll not find this vitriolic, vibrant opposition to his faith.  But because he is a Christian, his faith is taboo.  What a world!

Good news - prison bars couldn't hold back the good news of Jesus Christ's Salvation in Paul's day.  The prisoners were told the gospel, and saved when they believed it.  Life on this little planet is not the only life there is.  Eternal life is a real and viable choice!
