Do Loving Teens Have Strong Enough Faith to Become a Psychologist/Psychiatrist?

Study says religious tensions persist between psychiatrists, doctors

A new study published in the journal Psychiatric Services finds a continuation of tensions between religion and psychiatry. The findings are in the current issue of the journal Psychiatric Services, a publication of the American Psychiatric Association.

I wonder (smile) why it is that psychiatrists deny the faith and the Scriptures? It is for this reason I am very concerned when young people in the church head off to college with visions of grandeur and a heart to help others choose the field of psychology and psychiatry. There faith must be VERY strong (and many think it is) to withstand the attacks it will face under the tutelage of faithless professors. The statistics, however prove that these young people do not have the VERY strong faith they believe themselves to have - for it is gone when the emerge from the coursework and enter into the practice.
