Ranting On America

I’m not anti-American, but I believe our nation’s leaders (President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, et. al.) are.  Their policies, practices, and plans are all contrary to the ideals of our founding fathers.  Their friends have actively sought the destruction of our nation.  They have a powerful platform from which to make these unwanted changes.  Their propaganda machine is bigger than ever (mainstream media).  They mock the average American and his way of life.  They deny and denigrate our faith in Jesus Christ.  They kowtow to our enemies, inviting them into our country to destroy us from within.  They lie, cheat, and steal – and partner with those who do.  They have witnessed the failure of socialism, yet foolishly believe that it will work better here in America – so they force their will upon the people.

 

I also believe that those on the right side of the political aisle are also failing our nation.  The Republican Party is fraught with moral scandals that make me question their integrity.  It is counterproductive to stand for life, fiscal responsibility, and against homosexuality when one’s personal morality standards are broken by adultery, fiscal failings, or misstating the truth regarding one’s patriotism and military service.   This is as unacceptable pushing a socialist agenda against the will of the people.   They undercut their ability to be a viable alternative. 

 

So what is America to do?  If our own Declaration of Independence offers any ideas, they would be considered by the government today as treason or sedition.  The Declaration says  that it is the responsibility of the people to throw out the failing government and replace it with one that does what the people want.  Do we want socialism?  No.  Throw out those who are forcing it upon us.  We must force them out as they have forced their policies upon us.

 

I also believe the answer lies with Jesus Christ.  Christians need to repent of their apathy.  They need to get back to living for Jesus, under Jesus’ control, and in Jesus’ way.  We need to repent of our materialism, humanism, and worldliness.  We need to value the Bible, the Savior, and holy living and righteousness.  Then  we need to share that with others -  NOW!  Salvation is forever.  When our American citizens are more concerned with following Jesus, most of these problems will go away.  Our politicians’ only hope of success is to separate our nation from our faith.  When we make that impossible for them, they cannot succeed.  Let’s return to our Lord, seek His forgiveness, and He will heal our land (2Chronicles 7:14). 

 

Throwing out the irresponsible and foolish leaders will do nothing unless we can replace them with true believing leaders who live for Jesus and lead for Jesus.
