I came across an article in the Wall Street Journal entitled, "There's a Lot of Spirit at School for Psychics" because I listen to Dr. Albert Mohler's podcast, "The Briefing" each weekday. He commented on this article, so I went and looked it up. The issue I want to share today will not take too long It's just that when truth is rejected for fancy, fancy soon becomes fallacy and falsehood. Take a look at the lies and tricks they teach at the "School for Psychics" in England.Ms. Grist, a 66-year-old who says she has been communicating with the deceased for decades, explained the goal of psychic “reading” to a dozen first-time students from Europe, Asia and North America. Psychics mustn’t depress or frighten, she said, with unsettling predictions from the spirit world.Let me get this straight. The DUTY of a reader is to leave people feeling good? Truth doesn't matter. Feelings do. Hmmm. Ok. Let's go on.
“Your duty as a reader is to leave people feeling uplifted,” she said.
So, spiritism is now available over the internet. Isn't this something parents - especially Christian parents - should be aware of? The internet also offers great ways to get your kids involved in all sorts of trouble. BEWARE!Nowadays, people can speak to psychics and mediums over the Internet from the comfort of their living rooms.“Doing readings over Skype is amazing,” says Gina Murray, a psychic medium from Wales who came to the school to take a class on communicating with animals. She says she can see spirits over Skype, “which totally surprised me. I wasn’t expecting that.”

Does this resonate with you?”His partner shook her head. Ms. Grist quickly intervened. The Bible is clear - God is not pleased with the occult, primarily because it's a rejection of Him. There is no blending. The occult is based in Satanism, not God. They are an abomination to the Lord. And they are fake.
Have we, Christians, been led astray by modern media, fiction, and movies about such things so much that we have lost our perspective? Let the Bible speak to the issues, and to our hearts.
We got in this spot because we didn't fill our hearts with the Truth of the Word of God. That left a vacuum for anything to come in. For far too many, it has been filled with lies - the opposite of TRUTH.
