Most people have heard about the comments Brit Hume of Fox News Channel made regarding Tiger Woods' need for forgiveness for his infidelity. When Brit mentioned Christianity, the unbelieving threw a fit. Jesus is still making waves today.
Baptist Press - FIRST-PERSON: Brit Hume was right - News with a Christian Perspective
I encourage you to examine for yourselves this issue. What was said? How was it said? Who is really being arrogant and intolerant? Was it Brit? Or was it his critics?
Then ask yourself, if you call yourself a Christian, are you willing to face such heat for your faith? Because "As I See It," the Bible says you will be called upon to do so. They hated Jesus' name in His day, and He says they will persecute us with the same venomous vitriol. The safety net of Christianity is between us and God. There is NO safety net between believers and unbelievers. Get ready, my brothers and sisters, for your day of persecution is right around the corner. Practice proclaiming Christ now; you'll need it then!
Jesus STILL makes waves, because Jesus STILL saves!

thanks, Greg! this is great! your challenge is hard-hitting and hits the nail on the head! :)
I wonder what kind of outcry there would have been if Hume had suggested that he talk to Dr. Phil or Oprah?
Uh...probably...none.
God has greatly gifted you
